Styling / Art Direction

Historically costume jewellery has aped the real thing which was too heavy and too expensive to wear everyday at this size but now some designers have created an entirely new demand for quality costume which sells for more than precious.  it has become an art form in its own right despite or maybe because of the fact that the materials aren’t precious

Costume like this is fun and playful and for this shoot I combined big gold pieces with discreet black ready to wear as styled by Sasha Barrie.  The mood on set was all about grown up glamour, wet hair and sharp lines.  Photographer Matthew Shave created a lovely tone on tone background and our model Veronika R played the part of seductress exceptionally well.
